The inaugural VMware vExpert Award

This was a surprise. This morning I received an email from John Troyer at VMware which began with…

“Congratulations! On behalf of VMware, we would like to thank you for all the work you’ve done giving back to the virtualization community and sharing your expertise with others. We are pleased to present you with the VMware vExpert Award for 2009. VMware is giving this award to individuals who have contributed significantly to the community of VMware users over the past year.”

VMware, thank you for the Award and recognition. I look forward to the future and taking our partnership and customers further into the Virtual Data Center.

While I’m honored, I believe this recognition should be addressed to all of the Virtualization Technical Marketing Engineers within NetApp. It is our collective work for which I received this recognition.

I’d also like to congratulate the other vExperts, many of whom are personal friends. I wish I could post all of the winners, but I don’t believe all of the winners have been announced at this time. To all of the vExperts – Kudos!
