NetApp and VMware vSphere Storage Best Practices Book Update

At VMworld 2009 attendees were able to purchase the first book ever published by NetApp in the VMworld bookstore. This book was NetApp and VMware vSphere Storage Best Practices. Since then the book has been a huge success. I was very surprised today to learn that since the book’s release on August 31st, it has sold nearly 5,000 copies.

To put the sales figures in perspective, we averaging nearly 1,000 copies sold each month!

The book’s current sales rank on lulu.com is 198.

For all interested in the book, I’m happy to announce that the second edition is now available. It’s packed full of net new content; however, I have to save the details as to what’s new as it ties into our February 18th announcement.

If you want a sneak peek you’ll have to head over to lulu.com

I’ve got more book news on the horizon and as soon as I can share the details, your RSS reader will be the first to know.

  1. Honest question: Will TR-3749 v2 be available on the NOW site at some point, or is this the only format being offered?

  2. Re: [NetApp – The Virtual Storage Guy] Damian Karlson submitted a comment to NetApp and VMware vSphere Storage Best Practices Book Update
Version 2.0 of the electronic edition will be available on 2/18. The reason for the delay is the contents coincide with the release of an updated vCenter plug-in (the RCU).

  3. Any update as to when the electronic version of the 2.0 version will be online? (2/18 plus delta…) I bought the Lulu version, and it’s great, but I’m hoping the online version will have its diagrams in color!
Thanks for a great document. Keep them coming!
