Evaluate SRM with the VMware on NetApp Trial

A few months back we launched the VMware on NetApp Trial, a 100% software-based evaluation built upon Data ONTAP Edge, the NetApp Virtual Storage Appliance (VSA), which allows participants to gain hands-on experience with our joint solutions and technical integrations without the requirement for a physical NetApp storage array.

The Trial has been a huge success specifically with those who don’t run VMware on NetApp and those who have only recently started their journey to the cloud. The Trial also provides an ideal means for existing customers to evaluate some of our more advanced / complex solution offerings. Take for example disaster recovery with vCenter Site Recovery Manager. For many the requirement of two storage arrays can be a showstopper and prevent them from evaluating the solution. With the Trial one can configure NetApp SnapMirror between two Data ONTAP EDGE VSAs or can use a VSA with a physical FAS or vSeries array.

To sample how simple SRM with NetApp is, take a glance at these videos from the Trial…
